Open Utility
Free, local-first utilities for scanning QR codes from screens and cameras.
These small tools are designed to scan QR codes from a screen or camera without uploading the image or decoded content to a third-party service.
Watches the display while running and detects QR codes that appear in videos or images.
A draggable, resizable transparent frame that scans only the region placed over a QR code.
Uses the phone camera for live QR detection with a deliberate tap-to-open link workflow.
The official GitHub repository is the only download source for these tools. It includes Windows, Linux, and Android setup instructions, dependency installation, usage guidance, and troubleshooting. Copies found anywhere else are not maintained by PFRG and may have been altered.
